Harry Garber graduated from Auburn University in 1981 with a degree in Business and Economics. He went to work in the commercial construction industry as a project superintendent for the next eight years in Texas. He then moved back to Huntsville and went to work for Thykol Corporation to oversee their onsite commercial projects. In 1991 Harry left Thykol Corporation to start Garber Construction Company. Harry is the president of Garber Construction Company, Inc.
In 1993 Robert (Bob) Garber started as a full partner and vice president for Garber Construction. Bob graduated from Auburn University in 1982 with a degree in Building Science. After graduation Bob also went to Texas and worked for a commercial contractor as a project manager and estimator. Eventually he went to work with a commercial contractor in California with the same responsibilities in project management and estimating. Bob was able to bring an additional ten years of experience to Garber Construction which has proven to be invaluable. Today’s combined experience between Harry and Bob Garber is over 50 years, which is not found in many construction companies today.

In addition, our company was selected by the Huntsville Madison County Builders Association to construct ten Generals Quarters on Redstone Arsenal.
Harry Garber has served as the president of the Huntsville/Madison County Builders Association for two years. He was also named Builder of the Year for two consecutive years and is a Builders Hall of Fame Inductee. Harry is serving as the 2009 Foundation President for the Builders Association. Harry is also currently serving his second year on the Huntsville Board of Adjustments as a Mayor’s Appointment for the City of Huntsville.
